Nu-Calgon A/C ReStart Connect Inject (4060-56) is a professional retrofit solution engineered specifically for R-22 air conditioning and heat pump systems being converted to R-407C, R-427A, and other R-22 alternatives.

When an R-22 system is retrofitted rather than replaced, oil return can become a major concern. Mineral oil does not always migrate effectively with HFC refrigerants. A/C ReStart is formulated with a POE lubricant base to help improve oil return and promote proper oil circulation, supporting compressor reliability through the remaining service life of the system.

Formulated with Rx-Acid Scavenger® technology, A/C ReStart helps address trace acids that may circulate during retrofit.

POE lubricant can disturb oil byproducts that have remained dormant inside R-22 line sets for years. The built-in Acid Scavenger technology is designed to neutralize acidic contaminants released during retrofit, helping the system restart cleanly with the alternative refrigerant.

The Connect Inject format provides fast, field-friendly installation without the need to manage refillable injector cylinders.

The 4060-56 Connect Inject comes pre-charged with 4 fluid ounces of treatment inside a disposable injector vessel. It is introduced into the system using the reusable Connect Injector Tool (4155-01) and a standard manifold gauge set. This approach simplifies truck stock management while still delivering the full, properly measured dosage.

One injector treats air conditioning and heat pump systems up to 5 tons.

For systems between 5 and 10 tons, two injectors are required. For larger systems or long line-set applications, approximately 15% of the compressor oil charge should be POE lubricant. An equal amount of existing oil should be removed before treatment.

A/C ReStart is intended for retrofit applications where replacing equipment with R-410A is not economically viable.

This product is not a substitute for line-set flushing when performing a complete equipment replacement. For full R-410A conversions requiring copper line-set cleaning, follow proper OEM guidance and use appropriate flushing products.

Installation Overview – Connect Inject (4060-56)

For HVACR professionals only.

1. Confirm system is running and identify low and high side service ports. If heat pump, ensure cooling mode.

2. Connect reusable Connect Injector Tool (4155-01) to the low side service port with isolation valve closed. Purge and tighten.

3. Connect high side manifold hose and purge air from the yellow hose.

4. Open isolation valve and slowly modulate high side pressure to push treatment into the system over approximately one minute.

5. Allow pressures to stabilize, then remove equipment and properly discard the disposable injector vessel. Retain reusable Connect Injector Tool.
