The Nu-Calgon 4173-04 Evap-Treat is a high-performance preventative maintenance treatment formulated specifically for evaporative coolers. Designed for units with airflow capacities up to 6,500 CFM,Packaging: 6 x 1 case (six 1-unit packs) this treatment uses NSF-certified 6R Micromet® inorganic phosphate to sequester hardness minerals, preventing scale buildup and corrosion, while improving overall system efficiency and prolonging the service life of cooling pads.

Key Features & Benefits

Scale & Corrosion InhibitionProtects cooler media and metal parts from mineral deposits and rust so that they work efficiently all season long.
Food-grade / NSF-certified 6R Micromet®Safe, reliable protection using a specialty slowly soluble phosphate that’s designed for water contact surfaces.
Easy Installation & UpkeepSimply place the cylinder in the cooler sump near the float valve or water inlet; replace every six months or at season’s end.
Extends Pad LifePrevents scale from clogging or deteriorating the evaporative media, maintaining airflow and cooling performance.
Cost-Effective Seasonal SolutionInexpensive solution that lasts throughout the cooling season, reducing repair costs and labor.
